[Our Story][Our Approach][Our Homes] [Our Difference][Remodeling][Contact]

Shared vision. It's at the core of how I approach every project. It's a partnership, or maybe more like a marriage. In good times and, well, not so good times (which is inevitable in building your own home), we'll keep moving forward. My job is to be your sounding board, your expert, sometimes a referee, but always your solution.

Shared vision is multi–layered in my line of work. Obviously, you and I have to share your vision of uniqueness, creativity, functionality, and esthetics. But I also translate that vision to my sons, to our subcontractors, designers, consultants, the intertwined team of professionals dedicated to you. We start by gathering data — getting a "lay of the land" so to speak. We look at other houses, projects, blueprints, photos, from top to bottom. We touch, feel, pick up (or drop), shake, smell. We learn, explore. And I'm with you every step of the way.

Once we balance design, function and esthetics, we'll start breaking ground. At this point, everything, and I mean everything, is in writing, and daily communication and dissemination with our build team becomes routine. The bulk of our work, however, is in the details. The last 10% of your home can take as much as 40% of the entire project. Having a home built can be overwhelming. But walk into a home we've built and you'll see a stunning, seamless canvas that's warm, inviting, waiting for living.

Key Steps to Our Approach

Step One Step Two Step Three Step Four

One - Assessing Your Needs

The starting point, before anything is designed or built, is assessing the needs and desires of your home. This is done in many ways. We will talk, ask questions, look at other homes, photos, blueprints, and anything else to make sure the plan for your home is right for you. It has been mentioned before in this brochure that our focus is building a home that meets your life-style, what ever that may be. First we need to make sure we both know what that is. This "shared vision" is continued through ever other phase of building.
